I haven’t seen any crocuses here yet, though it’s possible I haven’t been looking in the right places. I love the way that one is peeking out from under the leaf. It almost looks like it might be a periscope for some sort of weird purple submarine.
I’m always amazed at how strong plants can be — witness the way the leaves are punching through the other dead leaf. I always think of a quack grass rhizome I was digging out of a garden once, which eventually led staight t through a tulip bulb.
I thought you said it was snowing there?
